This is the story of Dianne Luckey who had a cult hit with the song Goodbye Horses which was used in SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and MARRIED TO THE MOB, and who appeared in another Jonathan Demme PHILADELPHIA before disappearing off the face of the earth and being so off the radar that no one knew what happened. She was then rediscovered by filmmaker Eva Aridjis-Fuentes in a way that you wouldn't believe it it wasn't true.
Buckle in boys and girls this is a hell of a tale. It's such a great story that I'm not going to say a lot because this is one tale you need to hear for yourself. It's such a great story that a friend of mine who had seen the film with her husband, had her huband make her rewatch the film because he missed the last part of the film and needed to see how it came out.
Who said they don't make edge of your seat movies any more. This is a film that will not only keep you watching because you want to see all the turns but also because you will become invested in the tale and want to see how it all comes out. Trust me on this you will be deeply moved by the story.
I don't dare say more since I will only say something that will ruin the telling.
Just know that this is one of the great gems you will see this year and that you must see this film.
Highly recommended.
