CONFESSIONS OF CHIN CHIN
Various people in a Madrid bar hang out, tell stories and try to sort out their lives. This is a lovely small scale gem that is in danger of getting lost in the festival crush. While I enjoyed the hell out of it I need to revisit it down the road because I didn't have time to ponder it and smile afterward until I was unto the next one. Very recommended.
GAMMA RAYS
The life and times of a bunch of kids that is one part documentary and one part narrative. This is a nice little film that you need to search out. Far from big and splashy the film is the sort of small gem you usually find at film festivals and which is cured by being a small film that gets over looked at festivals. DO yourself a favor and search this one out.
RACEWALKERS
Good, if by the numbers tale of a racewalking coach who hooks up with a former baseball player to go for the gold. While we have been here before, this is very entertaining.
