Based on a true story this is the story of a young man who has to try and reclaim his brother's legacy if bath salts gives him a psychotic episode.
When you see KNOW ME, and you should see it, just let it play. Don't fight it, just let the film tell its story this way. I say that because when the film started I thought I knew what was going to happen and I kind of fought the film until I let my expectations go and I let the expert storytelling do what it had to.
This is a great film that perfectly explores the notion of the loss of a loved one, and the damage that makes everything worse when the media gets involved. What makes this so impressive is that while the film is dealing with some heady subjects the film is actually firmly focused on the characters. This is at all times a very human story, with the result that by the end we are moved to tears.
This is a glorious gem of a film that you need to see. I mean that, please make a note and put this on your must see list. I say this because this is exactly the sort of small film that blows away the festival audiences lucky enough to see it, but gets lost in the crush of films.
