It begins with a dead woman singing a song and what follows makes LIZZIE LAZARUS a blast and a half.
The film is the story of a man and a woman bringing a body into the woods in order to resurrect it. At a secret spot. You’re thinking PET SEMETARY, and you are kind of right and….well… you would be wrong since outside of the set up this is not Stephen King territory. What this is in fact something else entirely …well mostly.
Possessing a wicked sense of humor LIZZIE knows damn well the ins and outs of stories like this and uses them against us or to bring up points that we all know but fail to discuss in horror films. The result is a film that is going to make you look at your favor scary stories very differently.
I love this film. It is so much fun thanks to a near perfect mixing of mirth and mayhem.
