I had zero interest in this film. However I left a bad film and desperate for something good stepped into this one. It was a glorious surprise since it's one of the best films at Tribeca.
The life and times of Elizabeth Taylor in her own words. Recorded by a friend during late night drinking sessions, it's Taylor talking about her life and being as frank as one can be to a good friend. It's the arc of her life in a warts and all manner that will give you new respect for her as a star and as a human being. While everything isn't here owing to how the recordings were made, it's still a staggering achievement.
I was moved to tears.
This is one of the great films on film and an absolute must.
