Unnamed father and daughter travel across Russia living off the grid and grow farther apart.
Long takes and pregnant silences fill this road trip on the fringe of society. An example of the Slow Cinema genre this is a great looking film that you either love or hate.
I loved the look. I loved some of the discussions but at the same time I hated that this film insists on meandering all over the place, the camera seemingly lagging behind some of the action. Yes, the silences and long tracking shots give us a sense of time and place but at a certain point I just wanted to reach for a remote and scan to when something was actually happening.
Decidedly not my cup of tea
