Director Frank Mannion interviews various famous and not so famous people about what they consider to be quintessentially Irish.
This is a good but completely disposable footnote film that is simply an endless parade of people talking about being Irish and things that are Irish. It’s kind of like a weakly organized You Tube Video of good stories. The stories are fine but there is no real through line and you increasingly wish there was a point. Honestly while I enjoyed the stories I got about of the third of the way in and started to do other things because my interest waned and there isn’t much to see beyond people talking to the camera.
While not bad I’m kind of at a loss as to how this got released other than as a cash grab for the distributor who can promote it with a killer cast.
Worth a look if you’re feeling a yen for the Emerald Isle, but you really can skip it.
