Smart ass low budget action film is an absolute delight.
A follow up to 2021’s HOLIDAY MONDAY has Nick and Derek investigating the disappearance of a friend after a sting operation goes wrong. The pair then end up in the crosshairs of an arms dealer. The pair has to leave a trail of bodies and wisecracks in order to get themselves to safety.
Get the popcorn, and your favorite beverage and curl up on the couch because this film is just so much fun. Filled with guys you like, funny lines and lots of action LOCK AND LOAD just carries you along. Sure the gun fire never breaks car windows and does little damage outside of the people on screen, but you won’t care because the action sequences are just so well staged. This is some of the best action I’ve seen this year in any film. I say that because the action, like everything else in the film is done with absolute conviction. Nothing in this absolute gem of a film is being phoned in. I bought what was happening because the actors did.
I absolutely loved this. I loved it so much that I was emailing people when I was done telling them to track this film down.
One of my favorite finds of the year.
