One of the must see films at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival is a look at the interconnectedness of everything living in the ocean.
This film blew my mind. I’ve been watching nature docs ever since I was kid by SOUL OF THE OCEAN made me talk out loud to the screen. While I’ve seen similar things before, I had never seen anything like the images that director Howard Hall put on screen. I was stunned by the absolute beauty of it all. I wish I had been able to see the film on something like an IMAX screen .
What a stunning film.
I suppose I should say something about the narration by Jonathan Pryce. Its perfect. It perfectly matches the images and adds to our sense of wonder.
What a delight.
Soul of the Ocean was one of favorite viewing experiences of the young film year.
A must see.
