One of the best films at this year's DOC NYC is also one of the great discoveries of the year. COLD WATER KITCHEN is a portrait of chef Jimmy Lee Hill who runs a cooking school in the Lakeland Correction Facility it Coldwater Michigan. We watch asill helps some of the men he is teaching and he deals with the running of the kitchen.
This is a good time with good people. Its a celebration of a man and his work changing the world one person at a time. I was moved. I was entertained. I had a good time.
I really don't know what to say other than I loved this film so much that I was emailing fellow writers to make certain that the would cover the film.
Highly recommended.
