Magnificent portrait of Argentinian Chef Mauro Colagreco who turned Mirazur into the world's best restaurant. Things changed when covid hit and he started to spend time in his garden. His mind expanded, he decided to change the menu to one geared to work with the phases of the moon.
One of my favorite films of Tribeca is a lovely portrait of a cool guy,and the cool people who work with him. Where this could have been a typical chef bio, the film instead opens itself up to cover the not just Colagreco and his place, but covid, notions of how we eat (without being preachy) and how people travel to better themselves. This isn't just a food film but so much more.
I loved this film.
Highly recommended.
