Thursday the absolutely awesome Milwaukee Film Festival starts.
It is one of the absolute best programmed film fests in the world. It picks an obscenely large number of great films every year. They program so many that you will wonder who they made a pact with since they rarely stumble, and even when they do you know why they programmed the film.
This year is no exception. This year they have programmed a festival full of kick ass titles, I know because I have seen most of them. SO many of these films are just super and if you haven't seen them you need to go. Honestly if I wasn't writing on film and getting early access to to films, this would be the one festival I would go to every year because they have all the films I would want to see.
As with several recent years I'm not going to be doing more than this curtain raiser. It's not because I don't want to cover the fest, rather it's that I've seen most of the films and because of the shifting of schedules because of COVID I'm pressed for time.
Don't worry I'm not going to leave you hanging. What follows are links to most of the films that I have seen previously. If something interests you take a look. (I've seen a couple more- I just can't seem to pull up the reviews. I will add them as I find them.
