Bertie was once in a polyamorous relationship with Laine and Fred. When Laine left Bertie married Fred and they moved to France. Bertie has been trying to get he singing career to go somewhere but she feels that everyone thinks of her just as her husband's wife. When Laine shows up things are go sideways as old issues show up and new possibilities appear.
I'm going to be honest here and say this film just didn't work for me. There is nothing wrong with it, hell I admire the fact that this a genuine adult film, as in a film where adults interact to tell a story for real adults. However I never connected to it. I just never cared because the relationships didn't connect to anything in my life.
That said if you want to see a really well done, and very adult tale of relationships, MA BELLE, MA BEAUTY is for you.
