PHANTOM COWBOYS (2018) Tribeca 2018
Stunningly beautiful look at the rural poor of America over a decade through the eyes of a young man in California who doesn't want to end up working at the local manufacturing plant after high school, a young man in Florida who ends up in prison and a third young man who gives his life over to dirt track racing.
Well made documentary is good on it's own terms but on a larger level isn't anything special. We've been here before any number of times, particularly if you are a regular attender of the Tribeca film festival which seems to have two or three similar films (both documentary and narrative) every year.
You mileage may vary but my interest drifted off.
