Ariela brief take on FOOTNOTES
Footnotes is a French musical. The story is about a girl named Julie who is looking for a stable job. She finally lands a job at a fancy shoe factory. Soon after news breaks out that the company might shut down and have a factory in China to have cheaper labor and so the workers go on strike.
The songs were okay. There was one I liked a lot, but none of them were too memorable. The songs also seemed so random and most people sort of laughed when the actors would break into song, because it seemed strange. I thought from the storyline that I would like the film more. It was cute in some ways but overall I would say it's meh and one you can skip.
Footnotes opens Friday July 14th
