A collection of short films with an experimental bend. Most of these need to be seen on a big screen in the dark for maximum effect. If you want you mind bent, these films will do it
RIVER MOON BLACK BIRDS (2016)
Avant Garde documentary combing images from hurricane land falls over five years around the country. Its a hypnotic little film that would be perfect for the New York Film Festival Avant Garde/Experimental side bar.
PHANTOM LIMBS (2015)
Absolutely awesome-in the truest sense of the word- music video involving created by manipulating MRI scans to make impressionistic landscape.
THE PLASTIC BAG (2016)
Two people have an encounter with a plastic bag. Its a minute and I can't say more than that
A PLACE WITHIN A PLACE (2015)
A very trippy and hypnotic collection of cicada exit holes edited together to form something you could probably use to hypnotize someone with.
cyberGenesis (2015)
Crowd sourced animated creation myth for the current age has some really cool visuals but kind of runs out of steam about half way in. I'm not sure it does what it sets out to do and much of the imagery kind of feels flat, as if its for the screen of a monitor instead of creating a real place or space.
EL PORTAL (2015)
Portrait of a motor lodge outside of Yosemite national park combining current footage with video shot when the director was ten. And it will either thrill you or strike you as an odd home movie or both.
ANATOMICAL GIFTS (2016)
Odd silent film made up of medical images from the director, her mother and grandmother. All I'll say is the brain is disturbing
SWALLOWED WHOLE (2015)
Impressionistic portrayal of an injury and the aftermath of isolation. An interesting experimental film with some striking imagery. I greatly like the feeling of isolation the film creates.
ON SURGERY (2015)
Experimental film created by scratching off the emulsion of raw film. Its supposed to be a representation of bone surgery via film but I'm not sure I see it. On the other hand as a trippy little film that takes you somewhere else forcibly its pretty cool.
