A very brief review of THE ROYAL TAILOR (2014) New York Asian Film Festival 2014
I’ve seen THE ROYAL TAILOR the story of two tailors in the Emperor's court.
It looks gorgeous. It has a few laughs early (it's billed in some places as a comedy but really isn't), has lots of drama, some great performances but if you’ve seen films about court intrigue and romance you’ve seen this before (it even some how riffs on AMADEUS).
I’d love to hang the images on my wall but other than that its an well done time passer.
The film plays July 9th at The New York Asian FIlm festival. For more information and tickets go here.
