NYAFF 2012 Day 2 - Visuals (Choi Min-Sik + Chung Chang-Hwa)
Day 2 at the New York Asian Festival was a particularly busy and festive day for the folks here at Unseen! We basically got movie drunk by watching all the screenings offered on day 2 through tag team efforts. Mondocurry & I managed to watch 4 out of the 5 screenings including Oldboy, 5 Fingers of Death, Nameless Gangster, & Goke: Body Snatcher from Hell. DB came in to put out the fire by sitting in on Pan Ho Cheung's First Attempt while Chocko provided some basher style reinforcements with the 5 Fingers of Death screening! The days events would only get better with appearances by Choi Min-Sik (Old Boy & Nameless Gangster) and Chung Chang-Hwa (Director of Five Fingers of Death & The Swift Knight) as he was awarded the Star Asia Lifetime Achievement Award for his groundbreaking efforts in Korean & Chinese Cinema.
We were able to capture some visuals from the festivities to help the folks that couldn't attend a chance to get a glimpse of what went down.

ReplyDeleteI hope this is just the begining! Maybe you can influence them to bring in Lau Kar Leung, Sonny Chiba, and Etsuko Shihomi!
